With a huge variety of things to do, you can go mountain biking and even visit a winery, but you should know which are the “must do’ activities in Moab if you only have limited time, which is why we prepared a complete list of things to do so in order to tick each of the items from the list, find out what you can do in 2 full days. You can stroll through the shops for southwestern jewelry and t-shirts, once you arrive in Moab, or check out the Moab Information Center, which is conveniently located, offering information on opportunities throughout southeastern Utah. It covers all the best things in Moab, the only Utah destination where you can experience The National Parks where visitors from around the world come to experience sunrise over Canyonlands and then follow it up with the otherworldly landscape of Moab.

Visit one of the most beautiful National Parks: Arches

Located 8 km north, it contains a concentration of over 2,000 sandstone arches, as well as a variety of geological formations such as balanced rocks. In one of our previous articles you can find the best things to do here, because one day is a bit short, so if you want to explore more, just make sure you are not short on time in order to see the best of what it has to offer: the scenic drive with short stops at Double Arch and Park Avenue as well as the best hike of the Delicate Arch trail with some rock art.

Experience the stunning film in the MIC’s Theater, an immersive film that provides an outstanding overview of the lands and activities around Utah, combining ultra-high-definition footage and aerial perspectives of the spectacular lands, for 20 minutes. Moab, home to Canyonlands, is surrounded by red rock landscapes in a unique combination of resort hospitality, scenery and waters, making it one of the most sought after destinations to explore unique scenery where visitors can experience the town hospitality as well as the perfect climate, a magnet for outdoor festivals and the business district. Moab is a destination for enthusiasts which usually have camping gear or immense tires attached.

Every trip should include at least one byway, and the Moab area has three

Every trip should include a drive, and driving all three is great way to a relaxing day, but we recommend the Colorado Scenic Byway, which has a length of 70.8 km, so you will need around 2 hours for this route which begins at the Colorado River Bridge. At 20.9 km the gorge widens past Castle and Professor Valleys, the shooting locations for western films such as Rio Grande, and the Moab to Monument Valley Commission has a museum located at Mile Marker 14. After 39.8 km you’ll most likely find one of the grandest views, the red rock spires set against the snow covered peaks, and after leaving the valley, you’ll arrive at the site of Dewey Bridge at 48 km, which was destroyed by a brush fire.
